Privacy Policy — The Huddle

Effective Date: August 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how The Huddle ("we," "our," "the App") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application.

The Huddle is developed and operated by Nikhil Cowan.

1. Information We Collect

Account & Authentication Data

When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials via Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or email/password (processed through Supabase Authentication). We do not store raw passwords.

Fantasy League Data

When you connect a fantasy football platform (ESPN, Sleeper, or Yahoo), you authorize The Huddle to access your league data, including team rosters, league settings, player information, and related fantasy football data. This data is retrieved directly from the platform you connect and is used solely to power in-app features such as roster views, contract tracking, and AI-assisted insights. We do not store your third-party platform login credentials.

Crash & Diagnostic Data

We use Sentry, a third-party crash-reporting service, to collect diagnostic information when the app crashes or encounters errors. This may include device type, operating system version, app version, and technical logs describing the error. This data helps us identify and fix bugs and does not include your fantasy league content unless it was directly involved in the error.

AI Assistant Data (Audible)

Audible, our in-app AI assistant, is powered by Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic, PBC. Audible is off until you turn it on: the first time you use an AI feature, the app shows you exactly what will be shared and asks for your permission. Nothing is sent to Anthropic unless you agree.

What we send. Only the information needed to answer your question, taken from the screen you are viewing:

How we collect it. Roster and league data is retrieved from the fantasy platform you connected (Sleeper, ESPN, or Yahoo) at your request. Statistics come from public NFL data sources. Your question is what you type or select in the app.

Who receives it. Anthropic, PBC. Requests are routed through The Huddle's own server, which holds our API credentials, and then to Anthropic's Claude API.

How it is used. Solely to generate the response you asked for. Under Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service, data submitted through their API is not used to train their models. Anthropic acts as our data processor and provides protections for this data equivalent to those described in this policy. This information is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to build a profile of you.

What we never send. Your email address, your password, your Sleeper, ESPN, or Yahoo login credentials, your location, your contacts, or any device identifier.

Withdrawing permission. You can turn Audible off at any time in Settings → AI Assistant. The rest of the app continues to work normally.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to: provide and maintain core app functionality; personalize your experience (e.g., showing your actual roster and league); respond to your questions via Audible; diagnose and fix technical issues; and maintain the security of our service (e.g., rate limiting, abuse prevention).

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, each of whom processes data on our behalf and provides protections equivalent to those described in this policy:

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of The Huddle, our users, or others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and league data for as long as your account is active. Crash diagnostics are retained per Sentry's standard retention window. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 6).

5. Your Choices

You can disconnect a fantasy platform at any time from within the app, which stops further data retrieval from that platform. You can turn the Audible AI assistant off at any time in Settings → AI Assistant, which stops all data sharing with Anthropic. You can review and update your account information in Settings.

6. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This removes your account, connected league data, and chat history from our systems, subject to any data we are legally required to retain.

7. Children's Privacy

The Huddle is not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Third-Party Platforms

The Huddle uses publicly available or user-authorized APIs from ESPN, Sleeper, and Yahoo to retrieve fantasy football data at your request. The Huddle is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ESPN, Sleeper, Yahoo, or the National Football League (NFL). Use of these integrations is subject to your own account standing with those platforms.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, server-side authentication, and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Effective Date" above when changes are made. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
